Suitability criteria, entrance test:
Technical understanding, logical thinking, care, manual dexterity, commitment and the will to learn are required for a skilled trade.
The selection procedure involves passing a written entrance test based on what is learnt in the 4th year of secondary schools and technical colleges as well as an interview. The secondary school leaving certificate and the mid-year report for year 9 contribute towards the assessment.
