Easyrent goes to school

Most schools offer subjects such as math, English, and languages. But Bleckede secondary school offers an additional, special subject: Easyrent!

Malte Meyers is the owner of "Rad am Bahnhof" and has been working with the WINTERSTEIGER Easyrent rental software since 2021. As a teacher at Bleckede secondary school, he campaigned for Easyrent to be included in the curriculum. Easyrent is used in the student company "Die Rad-Geber" and in an elective economics course in 9th and 10th grade. The aim of the student company is to offer attractive bicycle-related services for all students, teachers, and school staff. This includes repairs, maintenance, cleaning services, and conversions to meet individual requirements. The team uses Easyrent for all relevant areas such as merchandise management, order processing, invoicing, and even rentals. The school has 8 rental bikes, which can now be rented and even reserved via Easyrent.

In addition, Easyrent can also be used to carry out the rental processes for skis, ski boots, and helmets, as the school already has its own ski equipment and organizes an annual ski trip for 7th graders to the Allgäu. The economics course helps the school company with bookkeeping.

The students are learning quickly and are already up to speed with the various Easyrent functions. It is important to the teachers that the students complete the processes independently and really click through everything. They support each other and check over each other's work.

Using Easyrent really enriches the students' learning as it allows them to gain practical, hands-on experience. For the school itself, this means that students come into contact with a professional system that is already established on the market at an early stage. This gives them valuable background knowledge that can be of benefit to them in internships or future apprenticeships. “We are very grateful for the support Gernot and Peter have given us – this project wouldn't have been possible without them. We are delighted that we have been able to set up a flagship project here in northern Germany thanks to their help,” says a delighted Malte Meyners.
