Swedish associations rely on WINTERSTEIGER Matrix NC
Ahead of the upcoming Olympic season, the Swedish Olympic Committee and the Swedish Biathlon Association have chosen the WINTERSTEIGER Matrix NC as their new ski service machine and decided on a 3-year strategic partnership. Following extensive testing throughout the spring and summer of 2025, the two federations — in cooperation with the Cross-Country and Nordic Combined teams — have signed an agreement for their first WINTERSTEIGER machine.
The Matrix NC will become a shared national resource, serving athletes across Cross-Country Skiing, Biathlon, and Nordic Combined, and marking a significant step in Sweden’s long-term investment in world-class ski preparation technology.
In addition to the machine purchase, WINTERSTEIGER has entered the official ski pool of the Swedish Biathlon Federation through a newly signed three-year collaboration contract. The cooperation includes joint development work, service-team integration, and ongoing optimization of grinding technologies ahead of major international championships.
“We’re extremely excited to be selected as the supplier for the Swedish national ski teams — especially in an Olympic year,” says Esben Blomberg, General Manager of WINTERSTEIGER Nordic Countries. “This is a strong testament to the performance and reliability of the Matrix NC. Our partnership goes far beyond a machine delivery; it’s about continuous development and close cooperation between the national service teams and our engineers.”
The Matrix NC has already been fully integrated into the Swedish service truck. The team is now en route to Italy, where the machine will be used during Olympic preparations and the upcoming World Cup competitions.
