NEW: Plotseed XXL & Rowseed XXL - New seeders for direct sowing of trial plots
Direct sowing of untilled soil is becoming increasingly more important in agriculture and thus in field trials. This kind of sowing requires a special opening technology: first, the opener itself is heavier than a conventional one; second, a pre-cutting disk for plant residue is often added, sometimes even a fertilizer opener to apply fertilizer. The newly developed plot seeder frame "XXL" makes it possible to arrange these components in various configurations. The machine can then be adapted to all kinds of soil conditions by adding supplementary weights.
The frame can take the following sowing systems:
- Sowing system Plotseed for sowing plots
- Sowing system Rowseed for sowing single rows
- Sowing systems Plotseed and Rowseed for sowing plots and single rows with one machine
The possible combinations of the two sowing systems make this unit a highly efficient universal machine.
Tried-and-tested opener technology.
Different soils require different openers. For such diverse needs, WINTERSTEIGER offers openers, for example the Acra Plant double disk opener, that have been tested in conventional agriculture. The Acra Plant double disk opener is available with or without pre-cutting disk and also in combination with the Acra Plant fertilizer opener for direct sowing.
