In 2012, WINTERSTEIGER expanded its production and office space at the Ried site.

The acquisition of the road "Am Burgfried", which ran across the company grounds between the two production facilities meant it was possible to launch the new building project. An additional production facility was built on top of the original road and the assembly buildings were connected to form a complete complex. Additional offices and meeting rooms encompassing an area of 1,600 m^² were created above the new facility. The central position of the new offices resulted in shorter routes to production and to the colleagues in the surrounding buildings. The entire construction project with an investment sum of 5 million euros was completed in the fall of 2012 and officially opened in the spring of 2013 on the occasion of the company's 60th anniversary.

In the first 60 years of its existence, WINTERSTEIGER had developed into an international group with 18 sites, 800 employees and a turnover of 126 million euros (2012).
