WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Lundgren as Managing Director of WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech Inc. Lundgren will be based at their North American headquarters in Elkhart, Iowa, and will report directly to Christopher Schiehauer, Managing Director of WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech GmbH in Ried im Innkreis, Austria.
With a strong agricultural upbringing and a career rooted deeply in agronomy, product management, and equipment innovation, Lundgren brings a powerful mix of technical expertise, leadership experience, and industry insight to the WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech team.

Lundgren grew up on his family’s farm in central Iowa, where he remains active today helping raise cattle and grow corn and soybeans. He earned degrees in Agronomy and Agricultural Business from Iowa State University, where he continues to be involved in university activities. He has also been heavily involved with 4-H throughout his life.
Lundgren’s professional path spans several influential roles across the ag sector. He began his career as a Territory Manager for Syngenta in Minnesota, then served as a full-time Agronomist for a Central Iowa retailer. He later joined Ag Leader Technology, where he trained dealers on planting and harvesting systems. For the past nine years, he worked at AGCO, where he managed the Planter Division and developed extensive experience in product management and product line leadership.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lundgren is known for his commitment to community involvement and service. He serves on his local city council and is on the Board of Directors for an Iowa State University fraternity where he is an alumnus. He has been married for 15 years and is the proud father of one daughter.

In his first 90 days as Managing Director, Lundgren plans to focus on learning, alignment, and trust-building. He emphasizes a cross functional, team-oriented leadership style grounded in collaboration, transparency, communication, and empowerment.
