New technical account manager in the USA
WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Cummings as Technical Account Manager, effective April 13, 2026. In this role, Cummings will oversee sales across the company’s Western Territory, including the western United States, the Pacific Northwest, and select Midwest university accounts.
Cummings joins Seedmech with more than two decades of experience in the seed and agricultural technology industries. His background spans operations, equipment management, and customer engagement, making him uniquely equipped to support growers, researchers, and institutional partners.
Most recently, Cummings served as Operations Equipment Lead for North America Nursery Sites at Syngenta, where he was responsible for standardizing equipment across multiple locations. In that capacity, he developed a deep understanding of the equipment landscape, including both WINTERSTEIGER products and competitive offerings. Earlier in his career, he spent several years at Pioneer Seed and later with agricultural innovator PowerPollen, where he managed a broad portfolio of responsibilities, including logistics, IT, field demonstrations, and trade events.
“Joe brings a rare combination of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and customer perspective,” said Alex Lundgren, Managing Director of WINTERSTEIGER Seedmech in North America. “His experience and commitment to performance align perfectly with WINTERSTEIGER’s mission to deliver best-in-class solutions to our customers.”
Cummings is passionate about building strong customer relationships and is eager to connect with partners across his territory. As he steps into his new role, he is especially focused on expanding his knowledge of the university segment.
“We should never lose a sale based on performance,” said Cummings. “I’m excited to work with customers to ensure they have the right solutions to achieve the best possible results.”
A longtime resident of the Elkhart, Iowa area, Cummings lives there with his wife, Heather, and their 4-year-old daughter.
