Sample Management: an easy and fast system which saves time and avoids serious errors
Individual plot sampling is today time-consuming, complex, and not free from errors. Every wrong sample decides about the future of the breeding material. That’s the reason why many decides to sample the whole field, leading to unnecessary effort, wasted time, and more material handling. With the new WINTERSTEIGER Sample Management there is now a faster and smarter way to do it.
But how does this new system work?
During the scoring, the breeder decides which plot should be sampled. There is no change in this process so far. After this, the sample information gets documented in the field plan. Depending on the harvesting setup – whether you are using a Quantum Plus or Pro or a Split NH, you can easily define if and which samples should be active. And yes, multiple selections are fully supported.
Now you can import this field plan in Easy Harvest in the same way as you know it from our machines in the past. With one additional click, you can now activate the new 'Sample Management' feature. If you've used our predefined headers in your field plan, you're ready to start harvesting - no extra setup required.
And if needed, you can still manually adjust sampling decisions during the harvest - giving you full flexibility and control in real time.
