New at WINTERSTEIGER: "Hotronic heated" feet

The specialized machine manufacturer Wintersteiger, the world market leader in ski service machines and ski rental equipment, has extended its Sports product range. Following the acquisition of Hotronic, a company with international operations, heatable insoles and shoe and glove dryers for consumers have now been added to the product program. Hotronic will be integrated into the BOOTDOC business area, in which Wintersteiger sells customized insoles, foam liners for ski boots and compression socks.

Cold feet hurt and spoil skiing fun – Hotronic products prevent this. The Hotronic Footwarmer comprises of a heatable insole with rechargeable batteries that can be easily connected to the ski or snowboard boot with a special holder. Hotronic Footwarmers are characterized in particular by their long heating period and long battery life. Supplementing the Footwarmer, the powerful Hotronic Snapdry dries and warms boots and gloves before or after use.

Three pairs of socks are too many

The right material is essential for fun and enjoyment in sports. The new Hotronic products ideally supplement the Wintersteiger 's business area with customized insoles under the BOOTDOC brand. Both aim for maximum well-being and also target the same customer groups: Footwarmers are mainly used in winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and any kind of outdoor activity in cold temperatures.

The need for "warm feet" is huge. Hotronic International has been successfully represented in this market for nearly 20 years, and is the unrivalled number 1 in the USA. The company generated an annual turnover in the range of 3 million euros and distributes its products all over the world – in the future through the Wintersteiger sales organizations or retail partners in various countries.

The company's owners Albin Koch, Geoff Bruce and David Astley view this succession model as something extremely positive and are convinced that this will secure the development of Hotronic in the long term. Albin Koch will assist Wintersteiger as a consultant for product development and production, while Geoff Bruce will be expanding marketing in North America.
