The fully automated ski service

Choose the right feeding variant

Up to 70 pairs of skis

Efficiency booster for your workshop: with Paternoster feeding, up to 70 pairs of skis can be processed per hour depending on the grinding program. The Paternoster has capacity for 16 skis in a very small space. Once loaded, Jupiter works independently, meaning the operator can focus on other tasks. Jupiter draws in and outputs the skis completely automatically via the conveyor system.

Automation with WINTERSTEIGER

Modular and individual

With a total of five individually positionable modules, Jupiter can be adapted to your needs. The different operating modes also make it easier to set up the machine.

High throughput rate with minimum personnel input

Speed is everything in the ski service workshop – the priority being to process more skis per hour with fewer members of staff. Automatic ski recognition and the Paternoster automatic loading system make this possible.

Reproducible quality

One thing is certain: each ski comes out of the machine perfectly serviced to the exact same quality – time after time.

QR-Scanner

By reading barcodes on rental stickers or scanning the QR codes on our V-Edge stickers, Jupiter automatically knows which grinding program it needs to call up. Presorting of the skis or manual resetting of the machine is no longer necessary.

Automatic configuration

Using its scanner and automatic ski recognition, Jupiter determines the exact dimensions of the ski in a matter of seconds and can configure itself automatically on that basis.

Digitally networked

The connection to our Easynext rental software also simplifies the service process in ski and snowboard rental.

A service machine that is made for you

“The machine is easy for all of us to operate. The fact that the machine features the new V-Edge edge grinding technology as well is a huge advantage.”
David Frühwirth
On hard slopes in particular, everything is becoming much grippier and more compact, and the material is also improving all the time. That's why it's all the more important that I have skis with good edges that have been serviced extremely well.

Belt module

Even higher throughput as a result of pregrinding with the belt module. The consistent material removal means skis and snowboards are optimally prepared for stone grinding.

Stone module

The oscillation of the 350 mm wide grinding stone allows for more structure possibilities, a higher throughput, and longer dressing intervals. This ensures that ski and snowboard bases are ground efficiently and thoroughly at the same time. The stone cover protects the work area during dressing.

Disc module

Exact edge angles, flat surfaces, and high repeatability – with just one module for side and base edge grinding. The grinding angle of the ceramic disc is infinitely variable and can be changed manually or using digital NC angle adjustment.

Polishing module

The final polish for the base edge is the ideal complement to the disc module. The polishing discs work at exactly the same angle as the ceramic discs in the grinding module, guaranteeing a consistent polishing result.

Finish module

An oscillating waxing wheel applies wax uniformly to skis and snowboards. The infrared temperature control helps the wax to penetrate deep into the structure of the ski. Double polishing reveals the tuned structure again.

Trim Cut

With Trim Cut for automated side wall preparation, WINTERSTEIGER has achieved a total innovation! Trim Cut for cutting the side walls is integrated into the first stone module and is automatically activated during the process. This ensures maximum efficiency in the subsequent edge tuning. But why is this pretreatment necessary? Protruding side walls can negatively impact side edge grinding. Trim Cut eliminates the need for manual dressing or milling of the sidewall. This process protects the grinding discs and forms the basis for the high-precision edge grinding.
