De droogkast vergezelt de ÖSV dit jaar op weg naar Rovaniemi in de poolcirkel. Dan gaat het naar Ruka voor de eerste World Cup. Vandaar naar Lillehammer en de thuiswereldbeker in Ramsau am Dachstein. In januari reist de droger naar Otepää, Klingenthal, Chaux Neuve en Seefeld. In februari staan Oberstdorf, Schonach en het wereldkampioenschap in Planica op het programma. Het seizoen eindigt in Oslo en Lahti.

"We zijn zeer tevreden over de droogkast. Aangezien ons Nordic Combined-skiteam in alle weersomstandigheden buiten staat, is de Econ voor ons een grote meerwaarde bij slecht weer. De kleding droogt er vrij snel door. Ook bij koude temperaturen kun je altijd in licht voorverwarmde kleding en laarzen stappen. De omgang met WINTERSTEIGER was zeer bevredigend", zegt Guido Scheiber tevreden.

ÖSV Vrachtwagen x WINTERSTEIGER Droger 

De Cubusan luchtzuiveringskubus was al een constante metgezel van het Oostenrijks Olympisch Comité tijdens de Olympische Winterspelen in Peking 2021/22. Het is opnieuw op tournee met het ÖSV-team. Op WK- en trainingslocaties in Europa en de VS zorgt het voor gedesinfecteerde, verbeterde binnenlucht in vergaderzalen, maar ook in het hoofdkwartier van de federatie in Innsbruck, in fitness- en fysiotherapieruimtes, in auto's, minibussen en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en tijdens maaltijden.

"De Cubusan heeft tijdens de pandemie de dagelijkse training voor alle disciplines echt vergemakkelijkt, omdat maskers niet verplicht waren tijdens trainingen of vergaderingen in gesloten ruimten. Het wordt nu ook heel bewust permanent gebruikt en we zijn zeer tevreden over het effect ervan. Intussen is het een belangrijk onderdeel van ons team geworden en we kunnen ons geen leven zonder voorstellen", verklaart Michael Gufler, hoofd technologie.

Cubusan toert met de ÖSV

Markus Bratschko en de medewerkers van de ASFINAG onderhoudswerkplaats in Unterwald, ten westen van Graz, zorgen dagelijks voor een veilig verkeer op de A2. De winters zijn de laatste jaren bijzonder veeleisend geworden op de A2. Niet in de laatste plaats vanwege de extreme sneeuwval en de onbeschutte ligging langs de zuidelijke Alpen.

"Tijdens de wintermaanden is mijn 16-koppige team met 6 sneeuwruimwagens op alles voorbereid", vertelt Markus Bratschko, voorman van de snelweg in Unterwald. "Mijn mensen zijn in deze periode bijna de klok rond in dienst onder de meest ongunstige omstandigheden. Het is noodzakelijk dat de werknemers zich tijdens de pauzes opwarmen en nieuwe energie opdoen. Tijdens deze pauzes zorgt ons WINTERSTEIGER Tantum Boot 15 Sterex droogpaneel voor droge en warme schoenen. De desinfectie-unit is een add-on en neutraliseert de geuren in de schoenen", vertelt Markus Bratschko tevreden.

ASFINAG vertrouwt op drogers van WINTERSTEIGER

De stad Bad Schwalbach in het district Main-Taunus in Zuid-Hessen beschikt over eigen bosgebieden die door personeel van de stad worden beheerd. Omdat het werk in het bos weersafhankelijk en fysiek veeleisend is, kwam de vraag van de werknemers om hun werkkleding na het werk te kunnen drogen. Het stadsbestuur vond wat het zocht bij WINTERSTEIGER en besloot het DRYTECH-product Primus Set 4 Helmet Premium Sterex aan te schaffen. De bosbouwers hebben zeer goede ervaringen met de droogkast. Dankzij de volledig programmeerbare besturing incl. een 24/7-timerfunctie kan niet alleen het drogingsproces perfect op de vochtigheidstoestand van de kleding worden afgestemd, maar is het ook mogelijk – met het automatisch inschakelen van de droogkast – de kleding van de medewerkers op te warmen voor ze aan het werk gaan. Een groot voordeel, zeker in de wintermaanden! “Wat we al helemaal niet verwacht hadden, is de zogenaamde Sterex-ontsmettingsoptie”, zegt meneer Disabato, bosbouwer bij de stad Schwalbach. “Dit ‘wonderding’ slaagt erin om na ongeveer 3 uur drogen alle virussen, bacteriën en alle mogelijke schimmelsporen te doden. Niet enkel in de kleding, maar ook in de schoenen, handschoenen en helmen zijn alle geurtjes volledig geëlimineerd. Een gerenommeerd Duits hygiëne-instituut heeft deze technologie gecertificeerd. Wij zijn zeer tevreden over deze innovatieve ontsmettingsproduct voor onze kleding.”

Sterex-technologie verrast Bad Schwalbach 

Hier, op de basis van Christophorus in Kitzbühel, moet alles snel kunnen gebeuren als het erop aankomt. Of het nu gaat om een reddingsactie of om het snel drogen van de uitrusting tijdens pauzes. “We hebben gekozen voor een Tantum Set 4 inclusief Sterex van WINTERSTEIGER omdat dit droogsysteem een hoogwaardig industrieel ontwerp heeft en uiterst efficiënt droogt. Zelfs als de jassen volledig doorweekt zijn, is een droogtijd van twee tot drie uur voldoende”, zegt Josef Deutinger. “We vinden de geïntegreerde desinfectie-unit een zeer prettige uitkomst. Deze elimineert zelfs onaangename geurtjes volledig. We hebben gekozen voor het droogpaneel omdat de kleding tijdens reddingsacties snel kan worden gepakt en we geen tijd verliezen. Collega's van andere bases hebben al interesse getoond in het apparaat en naar de fabrikant geïnformeerd.”

Christophorus Flugrettung Kitzbühel vertrouwt op Tantum

Voor de vrijwillige brandweer van Riegl in Frankenburg am Hausruck kwam de Econ Universal droogkast precies op tijd: na het noodweer in de zomer droogt de kast de brandslangen en de uitrusting van de ploeg in de voertuigruimte snel, betrouwbaar en zonder veel moeite.

Vice-commandant OBI Martin Möseneder somt de voordelen van de nieuwe droogoplossing op: "Enerzijds de tijdsbesparing: het zeer tijdrovende af- en oprollen van slangen is niet meer nodig. Na gebruik leggen we de slangen direct uit het voertuig in de droogkast. De droogtijd van ongeveer 14 uur is ook veel korter in vergelijking met de slangentoren, waar de slangen tot een week hingen.

Doorslaggevend voor de investering in de droogkast waren echter de kosten: het alternatief zou zijn geweest om een nieuwe slangenlift te bouwen en dat zou ongeveer het drievoudige hebben gekost."

Full helmet visors, gloves, boots, jackets, and pants: BMW Motorrad and ADAC supply motorcyclists with the full range of equipment. To ensure all equipment has impeccable hygiene standards for test runs, events, or riding safety training, 14 "Econ Universal" drying lockers have been installed, distributed across 13 ADAC training facilities and the BMW Motorrad fleet in Munich.

These Econ Universal drying systems are a special model and contain space for 4 complete sets of motorcycle gear, including the full helmet visors. The clothing is dried in the locker and also disinfected at the same time. “Motorcyclists should feel comfortable when riding. This includes making sure equipment is clean, smells good, and does not detract in any way from the ride. Previously, we cleaned boots and helmets laboriously with disinfectant spray and had to remove the inner parts to do so. Now the clothing is simply hung in the locker. It is straightforward and any potential unpleasant odors are neutralized,” reports Nadine Statz, responsible for marketing cooperations at BMW Motorrad Germany.&nbsp;

Always safe on the road.

Beginners or returners like to get a taste of motorcycling before they actively enter traffic. Their own motorcycle gear is then often not (or is no longer) available. Rental gear from BMW Motorrad and the drying lockers from Wintersteiger come into play for these riding safety training courses. The lockers are part of the safety concept: “Coronavirus regulations did not permit the issuing of motorcycle gear and so courses could not be booked for a long time. With the drying lockers, we can finally offer these training sessions again,” explains Nadine Statz.

Another advantage is that the drying locker is very easy to use. “Hang up, close, push the button, and empty the container with the condensate. I haven't had any questions so far, which is a good sign,” says Nadine Statz, pleased about the self-explanatory usage. “Drying and cleaning is always a breeze and we are very happy with the devices,” says Ms. Statz.

Fresh, dried motorcycle gear at BMW Motorrad and ADAC

In de herfst, wanneer mensen meer tijd binnenshuis doorbrengen, worden luchtreinigers nog belangrijker om de best mogelijke bescherming tegen infecties te bieden. Om een veilige aanwezigheid op school of kleuterschool in Rimsting (Beieren) te garanderen, zocht Franz Fischer in opdracht van burgemeester Andreas Fenzl naar een praktische oplossing. Van Christian Mayer, directeur van Serra Maschinenbau GmbH, hoorde hij over de innovatieve Cubusan luchtreiniger. Bij Serra - het bedrijf maakt sinds 2019 deel uit van de WINTERSTEIGER-groep - kon Andreas Fenzl zich overtuigen van de effectiviteit en het gebruiksgemak: 32 apparaten zorgen voor schone lucht in de twee kinderdagverblijven en de basisschool.

Het grote voordeel van deze methode van luchtdesinfectie: de Cubusan elimineert virussen en bacteriën direct en onmiddellijk. De lucht hoeft niet door de hele ruimte naar het filtersysteem te worden verplaatst en de gevaarlijke aërosolen kunnen zich zelfs niet verspreiden. When it comes to health, the Cubusan will play a key role in keeping the infection risk as low as possible at the Hamburg European Open 2021. In a doctor's office, the risk of infection is always an issue and patients are often concerned to come to the practice “with all the sick people”. This is particularly the case during the pandemic but also during flu season, for example. Cycling to work is healthy and protects the environment. There is however one unpleasant downside: sweaty clothing. To encourage staff to use their bicycle as a form of sustainable transport, the European Court of Justice in Luxemburg has opted for high-performance drying lockers from WINTERSTEIGER, which have been individually adapted to the local requirements.&nbsp;

A public tender defined the framework within which Stefan Schönhofen, project manager at Brand Ladenbau Sàrl in Luxemburg, and his team were able to work. Brand Ladenbau Sàrl is a family-owned business based in Grevenmacher dedicated to carpentry and meeting individual customer requirements.

“In addition to WINTERSTEIGER's professionalism, we were also won over by their flexibility it came to producing the desired product variant,” underlines Schönhofen. “We opted for drying lockers from the Individual&nbsp;300 series. Customized drying locker for Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer Special edition Combi Eco for KTM test track in Spain  Things get pretty heated on the fast-paced test tracks of Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer – whether the Spanish sun is beating down or the rain has begun. To ensure test riders have hygienically dry clothing and equipment at all times, KTM had a Combi Eco drying locker from WINTERSTEIGER individually adapted to the needs of the company.  "We already had an identical drying locker in use at our development center in Mattighofen,” says Tobias Stadler, Team Leader Test Street Research &amp; Development at KTM AG. As a motorcyclist, you are exposed to all weathers, and as a driving instructor or learner driver, you also have to drive in the rain. Driving school owner Josef Wintersteller has solved the issue of wet driving gear with the Combi&nbsp;1300 group drying locker from WINTERSTEIGER.

Combi Eco drying locker

Instead of building a drying tower, the St. Georgen volunteer fire department decided to purchase a Drytech drying locker from Wintersteiger. Previously, the fire department dried their hoses using an inclined hose drying system, in which the fire hoses are suspended between the ceiling and the floor at an angle of 30°. Not only was this laborious, the drying result was also not ideal: the hoses sagged in the middle or hung together at the edges, therefore remaining wet. The Multi Eco drying locker for fire hoses is a special solution that was implemented especially for the St. Georgen volunteer fire department. Chief Fire Inspector and Fire Chief Markus Auer says: “The most important advantage is obviously the cost. A drying tower would have been a significant investment.
