15 new apprentices at WINTERSTEIGER in Ried

On August 19, the new class of apprentices started at WINTERSTEIGER in Ried: 3 girls and 12 boys from a total of 14 different towns in the Innviertel region have chosen a “career with an apprenticeship”. At the international mechanical engineering company, they will complete an apprenticeship in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial logistics, construction, mechatronics and administration.

 

“You are embarking on an exciting time,” said WINTERSTEIGER CEO Harold Kostka in his welcoming address. “With a varied training program, innovative products and experienced apprentice trainers, you will have plenty of opportunities to develop your skills with us. It will certainly be challenging, but that is precisely why you can be all the more proud of what you have achieved later on.”

 

It is particularly important to the company not only to support young people professionally, but also to teach them values that are more important than ever these days: togetherness, respect, team spirit, appreciation, openness and trust. A dedicated onboarding seminar is the starting point on this path: in the second week of the apprenticeship, they spend two days at the seminar centre in Schleglberg. Together with the apprentice trainers, the program includes getting to know each other, team building and familiarization with the customs and values of the training company.
