WINTERSTEIGER equips young soccer players

It has become a tradition: every year WINTERSTEIGER raffles off team dresses to 3 clubs at the indoor district championships. This year's winners were USV Neuhofen, SV Obernberg and TSV Utzenaich.

 

Franz Gangl, Head of Marketing at WINTERSTEIGER, explains: "With this special sponsorship, we want to help young people experience the joy of sport and team spirit." The raffle took place for the 8th time this year. All 20 clubs in the indoor district championships have already received team dresses from WINTERSTEIGER. "It's always great to see how happy the soccer-loving kids are about their new dresses" says Gangl. 

 

At the district indoor championships in January, 6 tournaments were held over 3 weekends, where the young soccer players in the U8 to U13 age groups competed for the championship title.

 

The sponsorship shows how deeply WINTERSTEIGER is rooted in the region: many employees come from Ried and the surrounding area and are involved in clubs. The company has also set up a sponsorship fund for employee club events and supports voluntary work in fire departments, music bands, sports clubs, etc. Last year, 150 clubs received financial support for their events.
