Victoria Schlosser takes on additional responsibilities at WINTERSTEIGER – new Corporate Strategy & People department combines HR and Legal

HR management at WINTERSTEIGER will be overseen by Victoria Schlosser in her new role as Director Strategy & People. This new department combines the former Human Resources, Projects, and Legal departments of the international machinery and plant engineering group based in Ried, Austria.

Born in Upper Austria, she graduated in Law from JKU Linz and has been working for WINTERSTEIGER since 2018. Since June 2020, she has headed the company’s Legal & Projects department. During this time, she has played a key role in shaping WINTERSTEIGER’s strategic development, including the introduction of a holding structure, 10 global M&A projects, and the successful integration of new subsidiaries such as the recently founded Dry & Protect division.

With the new Corporate Strategy & People department, WINTERSTEIGER is taking a holistic approach: strategy should not only be considered from a financial or sales perspective but should also involve the corporate culture and the entire team as a central resource from the outset. “The merger of HR and Legal is a logical step,” explains Schlosser. “M&A projects, compliance issues, organizational development, and employment law issues in particular show how closely these topics correlate.”

Focus on human resources development

A particular focus for Victoria Schlosser will be on human resources development. The goal is to identify required skills at an early stage, develop or recruit the appropriate talents, and systematically enhance their capabilities.“ By doing so, we are sustainably empowering the entire team to meet future challenges,” said the 33-year-old Schlosser. WINTERSTEIGER currently employs about 1,200 people at 30 locations worldwide.

“By combining both areas under one management, we are creating the ideal conditions for modern, integrated corporate governance,” added Victoria Schlosser. “The new structure will not only bring efficiency gains but is also an important milestone on our way to becoming an even more agile, future-oriented organization.”
