From one-man-operation to international service provider.

Hetterich Fieldwork GbR in Schwarzach am Main in Bavaria, Germany, has been providing services for agricultural field research for 20 years. Andreas Hetterich covers the needs of customers in Germany as well as bordering regions in the neighboring countries of Poland, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria with his staff of around 40 people. Field trials in Romania are realized by a subsidiary.

A reliable partner for two decades.

WINTERSTEIGER has accompanied this successful development from the beginning. The extensive fleet of machines includes the entire WINTERSTEIGER program from sowing to harvesting: seed drills and precision spaced planters of all crops, Classic and Delta plot combines, as well as treating machines. The important things for Andreas Hetterich are the competent support of the WINTERSTEIGER staff, the fast delivery of replacement parts, and the reliability of the machines: "When it comes to working under difficult conditions, such as wet harvesting conditions, then there is nothing that compares to the Delta."

His son Fabian, computer scientist and agronomist, joined the company two years ago. When it comes to WINTERSTEIGER, he thinks of the user-friendliness of the Easy Harvest weighing-system software: "A five minute explanation is all it takes, and then anyone can work with it."

Customers also have a say.

Andreas Hetterich views the business relationship with WINTERSTEIGER as a matter of give and take that goes far beyond the mere flow of goods: "When Ludwig Schmidt, my employee of many years, wants to have an improvement made, he always finds an open ear at WINTERSTEIGER." This has led to a whole list of improvements to the Delta to which Hetterich has made a significant contribution:

  • improved sampling
  • optimization of the driver's platform to reduce vibrations
  • improvement of the grain elevator
  • optimized lights for working at night
  • narrow rear tires
