LIGNA Hanover: Visitors flock to WINTERSTEIGER trade fair booth

LIGNA, the world's largest trade fair focusing on the wood industry, took place in Hanover from 6th to 10th May. WINTERSTEIGER presented the new DSB Twinhead NG XM thin-cutting band saw which was developed for creating parquet flooring, doors and windows, multi-layer boards, pencils, and for musical instrument building.

 

The special thing about the DSB Twinhead NG XM thin-cutting band saw is its modular design – the saw can be extended to meet the customer's needs. Further advantages are the compact design, the extremely high capacities of up to 12,000 m2 in single-shift operation, and outstanding flexibility. Block dimensions and lamella thickness can be adjusted more quickly, and an enlarged cutting area provides an even wider range of applications.

 

The TRC systems, new additions to the WINTERSTEIGER product range, really drew in the visitors. The term TRC, which stands for "Timber Repair and Cosmetics", represents automatic filling machines which are used to repair wood surfaces, achieving maximum quality and leveraging huge rationalization potential.

 

The most important benefits: just one filling procedure creates a perfect repair, regardless of the system user's skill levels. This reduces the number of items which simply have to be rejected considerably. It is possible to carry out repairs involving more than one color on a single component. Damaged spots around the edges of the component can be repaired using a fully automatic system.
