New site for VAP-WINTERSTEIGER

New unit has plenty of space for system assembly processes

3,250 m2 of space on the Mettmach solar and industrial park

VAP-WINTERSTEIGER has a new address: Thanks to the move to the Mettmach solar and industrial park, the plant engineering firm has been able to combine the three former sites in Gurten and Mettmach into one, and expand the production and office space to a total of 3,250 m2.

“Bringing all our colleagues together under one roof will make collaborative working much easier,” explains Andreas Doubrava, CEO of VAP-WINTERSTEIGER. The assembly workshop on the industrial park has been specifically adapted for VAP-WINTERSTEIGER to optimize the assembly of high quality systems. The modern offices provide space for the engineering, project planning, logistics, and administration departments. “The building has an almost homely feel thanks to the innovative timber construction, and we are very comfortable here,” says Doubrava. And on the matter of the future of VAP-WINTERSTEIGER in Mettmach: “The new site underlines our clear commitment to added value in-house, and to production in the region. The super eco-friendly structure is also designed with the future in mind. All of the roofs are fitted with photovoltaic systems that supply green energy and recharge the electric cars via the charging stations.”

VAP has been part of the WINTERSTEIGER group since 2012. The high-tech company works with 30 members of staff to develop automation solutions for the timber industry (for example, for manufacturers of furniture, windows, and boards) and industrial production firms. The product portfolio ranges from simple automation systems to customized plants with an order volume in excess of two million euros. VAP-WINTERSTEIGER supplies to customers in all parts of Europe.
