VAP-WINTERSTEIGER opened its door to a veritable stampede of visitors on the company's open day on March 6, 2022: Over the course of the open afternoon, more than 800 visitors took the opportunity to better familiarize themselves with the plant engineering firm at its new site on the Mettmach solar and industrial park. The half-hour factory tour had to be re-run at the last minute: confirmation, if any were needed, that the VAP-WINTERSTEIGER team is not only flexible when it comes to plant engineering!

High-tech systems and robots wow visitors

VAP-WINTERSTEIGER engineers and manufactures bespoke automation solutions. Demonstrations on the day included a system that fully automates the fitting of ski binding plates on cross country skis. Visitors also learned how automatic timber repair and cosmetic systems work: They repair the surface of floor lamellas or furniture panels by pre-cleaning and filling cracks and knotholes.

Many of those attending stayed on into the evening, and even the onset of a thunderstorm at 7.00 o'clock couldn't dampen the mood: The visitors simply headed to the assembly workshop, and kept the party atmosphere going there. The event was also a great opportunity for the WINTERSTEIGER staff from Ried to get together and chat with their partners at VAP-WINTERSTEIGER.
