Mechatronics
Core Module: Automation Technology
Do you have a wide range of interests, are you good with your hands, and are you passionate about the interplay between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software? Then a mechatronics apprenticeship is just the thing for you! Here, you’ll learn to integrate mechanical and electronic parts, components, and systems—for example, by connecting machines (hardware) and electronic components (software) to create automated units and then programming them. Your apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years: In the introductory module (2 years), you’ll acquire the foundational knowledge of mechatronics, and in the main module (1.5 years), the specialization is in automation technology.
