Digital Transformation in Full Swing
In January 2022, we partnered with the digital transformation agency Moonshiner in Vienna. With Moonshiner, we are accelerating the digital transformation of our products and services.
The startup Moonshiner was founded in 2015. Through its collaboration with WINTERSTEIGER, Moonshiner has established a partnership with an industrial company. The colleagues in Vienna receive direct feedback and are more closely integrated into the company’s operations than they would be with external clients.
First Joint Projects
Among other things, the “myWINTERSTEIGER” customer platform is on the to-do list. On this platform, WINTERSTEIGER customers—such as ski rental companies—can log in and view machine data, technical documentation (such as operating and assembly manuals), orders, receipts, messages, FAQs, and more.
The digitization of machinery is also gaining momentum. This can help drive the “pay-per-use” business model, for example: Instead of investing in a new machine, the customer pays based on the number of skis ground, the number of parquet strips cut per square meter, or the number of bicycles cleaned.
Due to WINTERSTEIGER’s geographic location outside the central region of Upper Austria, it is more difficult to find specialized talent such as UI or UX designers. With Moonshiner, we now have an additional office location and can offer potential employees an attractive work environment in the nation’s capital.
