On August 19, the new class of apprentices began their training at WINTERSTEIGER in Ried: 3 girls and 12 boys from a total of 14 different municipalities in the Innviertel region have chosen a “career through apprenticeship.” They are completing apprenticeships at the internationally active mechanical engineering company in the fields of electrical engineering, design engineering, mechanical engineering, operations logistics, mechatronics, and office administration.

“You’re embarking on an exciting journey,” said WINTERSTEIGER CEO Harold Kostka in his welcome address. “With a diverse training program, innovative products, and experienced apprenticeship instructors, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow with us. It will certainly be challenging, but that’s precisely why you’ll be all the more proud of what you’ve achieved later on.”

It is particularly important to the company not only to support these young people professionally but also to instill in them values that are more important today than ever before: cooperation, respect, team spirit, appreciation, openness, and trust. A dedicated onboarding seminar marks the starting point on this journey: Right in the second week of the apprenticeship, the group heads to the seminar center in Schleglberg for two days. Together with the apprentice trainers, the program there focuses on getting to know one another and team building, as well as familiarizing participants with the customs and values of the training company.
