5,000 euros for cold days: WINTERSTEIGER supports ORA
With its Christmas donation, WINTERSTEIGER is supporting the aid organization ORA International in Andorf. The money goes toward the “Wish List for Cold Days” campaign, bringing a little warmth and hope to children in need.
Christmas is a time for giving. That’s why WINTERSTEIGER donates funds every year to a social organization in the region—helping children and young people who urgently need support. This year, 5,000 euros are going to the charity ORA International in Andorf, in the Schärding district.
“Support from companies like WINTERSTEIGER is invaluable to us,” explains ORA managing director Katharina Mantler. “Thanks to this donation, we can fulfill children’s urgent wishes and offer concrete help to families in need. Together, we can bring light into the dark days of many people’s lives.” The 5,000 euros will be used to provide vital aid in the countries where ORA operates. For example, this Christmas, 2,000 children in crisis-stricken areas will receive their own schoolbags or solar lamps. This makes it easier for them to attend school and enables them to study in the evenings.
“For us, social commitment isn’t a one-time thing—it’s an integral part of our philosophy,” emphasizes Pierre Bilgeri, CEO of the internationally active machinery and plant engineering group. “We don’t just want to build machines; we also want to build bridges—bridges of solidarity and compassion. This donation is a sign of our solidarity with young people facing difficult life circumstances. It is intended to give them hope and a sense of purpose.”
ORA International sees itself as a global relief organization grounded in Christian principles. It works in over 14 countries to support people in need. In particular, it aims to enable children to live lives free from deprivation, coercion, and violence. Educational support is always at the center of its efforts, with the goal of empowering children to build a future worth living on their own terms.
