We did it! A festive celebration marking the end of the apprenticeship at WINTERSTEIGER
After four years of training, WINTERSTEIGER hosted a successful graduation celebration for the 2020 class of apprentices.
The celebration took place at Weinwerk Christian’s in Mehrnbach. After a champagne reception, the festivities continued in the movie theater, where a photo slideshow awaited the young people: it brought back memories of outdoor seminars, the presentation of their apprenticeship projects, and more. To ensure nothing is forgotten, each apprentice received a photo book featuring the slideshow and a personalized WINTERSTEIGER T-shirt.
After brief remarks by Production Manager Helmut Heftberger and Human Resources Manager Elisabeth Kriechbaumer, the apprentices took the floor. They shared their personal highlights, such as the field trip to the subsidiary Serra in Germany or the joint final apprenticeship project, where they were able to push themselves beyond their limits and strengthen their problem-solving skills: In their final year of training, the apprentices worked together—completely independently—to design and build a combine harvester demonstration cabin, putting their knowledge and skills into practice.
Apprentice trainer Christian Scharnböck reflects: “Time flew by incredibly fast, from the first year of vocational school all the way to the final apprenticeship exam. It was always a pleasure to work with the group, and I’m very proud of how well they’ve developed in every respect.” An important phase of life is now coming to an end for these young people. WINTERSTEIGER extends its warmest congratulations to them and is delighted to welcome the newly certified journeymen, who will strengthen the company in the future.
