WINTERSTEIGER Celebrated Its 70th Anniversary
On April 30, 5,000 guests flocked to the WINTERSTEIGER campus for the open house. The atmosphere was fantastic: With a miniature train, the WINTERSTEIGER marching band in the festival tent, free ice cream, face painting for kids, art stations, a fun park for the whole family, and plenty of contests, the machinery and plant engineering company offered a great program with a festive fair atmosphere.
The miniature trains took visitors to stations featuring machine demonstrations: an automatic bike washing system, an automated ski service machine, a plot combine, the stationary SERRA sawmill, and thin-cutting band saws. A highlight along the train route was the manufacturing and assembly halls, where visitors could observe the digital manufacturing process of a combine harvester axle and a machining module for ski service machines.
Ried’s mayor, Mag. Bernhard Zwielehner, brought a special birthday gift: Starting July 1, Johann-Michael-Dimmel-Straße will be renamed Wintersteigerstraße.
