WINTERSTEIGER Sports Acquires Sports Rental Software

With the acquisition of the rental software, WINTERSTEIGER Sports GmbH is strengthening its Digital Solutions division: Sports Rental perfectly complements the existing Easyrent rental software, thereby expanding the portfolio of one stop suppliers.

Effective October 1, WINTERSTEIGER Sports GmbH will acquire the Sports Rental rental software from SR Software GmbH & Co. KG, based in Dreieich, Hesse. This step marks an important milestone for the Rent & Service division and opens up new opportunities for growth, digitalization, and customer acquisition.

For many years, Sports Rental has been one of the leading solutions for the rental and management of sports equipment. With over 2,000 installations in more than 25 countries, the software stands for quality, customer focus, and practical solutions. Through this acquisition, WINTERSTEIGER is expanding its digital portfolio and strengthening its position as a full-service provider for rental businesses.

Nothing will change for existing customers: The system infrastructure and support will continue to be fully available. The current points of contact will also remain the same. All Sports Rental employees will be taken on by WINTERSTEIGER.

The previous owner, Andreas Rauh, will continue to support WINTERSTEIGER as an external consultant: “I’m glad to have found a strong and reliable partner in WINTERSTEIGER.
