WINTERSTEIGER is giving its Christmas donation to ORA International, an aid organization based in Andorf. The money is going toward the “Wish list for cold days” campaign, giving warmth and hope to children in need.
Christmas is a time for giving. Every year, WINTERSTEIGER donates money to a local social institution, helping children and young people who urgently need support. This year, 5,000 euros will go to ORA International, an aid organization based in Andorf in the district of Schärding.
“The support of companies like WINTERSTEIGER is invaluable to us,” explains ORA CEO Katharina Mantler. “Thanks to this donation, we can fulfill children’s urgent wishes and offer concrete help to families in need. Together, we can make the dark days brighter for many people.” The 5,000-euro donation will be used to provide important aid in the countries where ORA operates. This Christmas, for example, 2,000 children in crisis areas will receive their own school bags or solar lamps. These gifts will make it easier for them to attend school and enable them to study in the evenings.
“Social commitment is not a one-time thing for us; it’s an integral part of our philosophy,” emphasizes Pierre Bilgeri, CEO of the international machine and plant engineering group. “We want to build more than just machines; we want to build bridges – of solidarity and compassion. This donation is a sign of our solidarity with young people in difficult situations in life. It aims to give them hope and a new perspective.”
ORA International describes itself as a global aid organization with Christian principles. It supports people in need in over 14 countries. ORA’s mission is to enable children in particular to live a life free from deprivation, coercion, and violence. The focus is always on educational support to give the children a chance at forging their own bright futures.
