Nine young people embark on their technical apprenticeships with the international machinery and plant engineering group.
It marks the start of a new chapter in their lives: On August 17, nine young men from the districts of Ried, Schärding, and Grieskirchen began their apprenticeships at WINTERSTEIGER in Ried im Innkreis. Over the next three to four years, they will gain the knowledge and experience essential for a career in mechanical and plant engineering through apprenticeships in mechatronics, electrical engineering, metal technology, and metalworking.
“Training young people is an investment in the future. With our apprentices, we gain dedicated young talent who bring new perspectives and fresh ideas. And they are also tomorrow’s experts who will help our company continue to grow in the years to come,” says CEO Pierre Bilgeri. The international machinery and plant engineering group WINTERSTEIGER currently employs around 60 apprentices in nine different apprenticeship programs.
Many former apprentices have continued their professional careers within the company and now hold senior positions in various departments. One reason for this is because WINTERSTEIGER focuses not only on sound technical training but also specifically promotes personal and social skills through its in-house apprenticeship academy. Teamwork, personal responsibility, communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously are integral parts of the training program.
