With August 18, the new class of apprentices started at WINTERSTEIGER in Ried. Nine young people began their apprenticeships in five different professions: three each in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, and one each in mechatronics, industrial logistics, and administration. The new apprentices come from all over the district – from Antiesenhofen to Ried to Schildorn.

“Offering apprenticeships is a key component of our corporate strategy,“ says CEO Florestan von Boxberg. “We are investing in the next generation to remain innovative and keep our expertise in-house.” The nine apprentices will be supported by an experienced team of trainers and will spend the next three years learning about modern technologies and processes.

Along with sound technical qualifications, however, the focus is also on imparting core values. Team spirit, personal responsibility, and reliability are integral parts of the training program and shape everyday working life from the very beginning. “Our values provide guidance and create an environment in which young talents can grow and develop in the long term,” Boxberg adds.

WINTERSTEIGER currently trains around 60 apprentices in nine different professions at its location in Ried.
