Forecast: Trend towards rustic floors to continue

Parquet flooring production dropped slightly in 2014 by 1.22 %. Source: FEP s statistics 2014

According to statistics by the FEP (Federation of the European Parquet Industry), parquet flooring production in the member states (including production facilities and subsidiaries outside the EU) dropped slightly in 2014 by 1.22%.

This makes the fact all the more pleasing that the approximately 20 TRC systems for fully-automated wood repair that have been installed were all operating at full capacity at the same time. The plants automatically fill imperfections such as knots and cracks, which in some cases are consciously emphasized for their effect.

More investments and TRC system extensions are planned. This means that the trend towards rustic floorings is continuing and that with TRC we – and our customers – are fully aligned with this trend.
