Drying cabinets for the new road maintenance facility of the State of Vorarlberg, Austria

The Road Construction Department of the State of Vorarlberg in Austria is responsible for maintaining, operating, and expanding the state road network, including all state and federal roads along with their structures and installations. Nineteen employees work every day, in all weather conditions, to ensure safe and reliable infrastructure.

Modern equipment for higher employee satisfaction

With the construction of the new maintenance facility in Koblach, the department set out to create a modern and comfortable working environment. This included functional locker rooms where staff can change and efficiently dry their workwear. After reviewing the market and comparing several suppliers, the decision was made in favor of our drying cabinets. The strong price‑performance ratio, design, and innovative features of our products ultimately won them over.

A more pleasant workday thanks to drying cabinets

A total of 32 Smartlocker drying cabinets were installed in the men’s and women’s locker rooms. They allow employees not only to dry their work clothes or store their everyday clothing, but also to securely lock away personal items such as bags or valuables.

In the vehicle hall, two Primus Set 8 Premium and one Primus Set 4 Premium drying cabinets were added. These models use innovative Sterex plasma technology to eliminate unpleasant odors – such as sweat – from clothing during the drying process.

The scheduling function of the Primus cabinets ensures pre‑warmed clothing and warm feet on cold winter mornings. This added comfort is something employees truly appreciate, as Markus Halbeisen, civil engineering technician for the State of Vorarlberg, explains:
