The four sides of a message

Who is familiar with the four-ears model? It describes that every message has four levels: the factual content, a self-revelation, the relationship level and an appeal. Our 2nd year apprentices recently studied this well-known communication model and many others in depth – during an apprentice workshop on communication and presentation.
The two workshop days covered topics such as non-verbal and paraverbal communication, storytelling, flipchart design, and feedback methods and how to best deal with stage fright. The highlight: spontaneous interviews with random strangers in the center of Ried about “WINTERSTEIGER”. Although this took some effort for the apprentices, it was a lot of fun. The workshop results will be presented to the apprentice trainers and master craftsmen in July.
