Two projects, twice the excitement: Apprentices demonstrate their skills

The WINTERSTEIGER apprentice class of 2022 presented two exciting pieces of work as part of their so-called apprentice project, demonstrating not only technical skill but also creativity, team spirit, and a sense of responsibility.
Cross-conveyor shaft: safe, mobile, clever
Seven apprentices developed a device that will make it easier to assemble and disassemble the cross-conveyor shaft on our plot combines in the future. The design meets CE standards, is easy to use, and can be moved by hand, pallet truck, or forklift. It is stored on an attachment pallet to save space. The cross-conveyor shaft itself can also be modified directly on the device. This saves a considerable amount of time and also significantly improves work safety.
Pinball machine: Engineering meets fun
Nine apprentices built a fully functional pinball machine for internal and external events. The machine fits on a Euro pallet, is mobile, and was largely made from existing materials. Highlight features include the creative playfield design, fun light and sound effects, the ball launch mechanism, and automatic score counting. This project of course also meets CE standards.
What is the apprentice project about?
The apprentice project is an integral part of training at WINTERSTEIGER. In their third year of training, apprentices independently plan and implement a technical project – from budgeting and development to manufacturing. At the end, they give a presentation to the Management Board, master craftsmen, trainers, and many interested colleagues.
Congratulations to both teams on the great work you put into your projects. You've really shown how much innovation there is in apprenticeships!
