Thanks to the Cubusan from WINTERSTEIGER, the SV Guntamatic Ried players will be able to train indoors in permanently purified air. The Cubusan is set to make an important contribution to keeping the infection risk as low as possible at the Innviertel-based club. SVR partners and junior players will also benefit from this partnership, which was announced as part of the season opening event in the Josko Arena on July 9.

The Cubusan is an air disinfection device that was developed by Ried-based mechanical engineering group WINTERSTEIGER AG and ensures that changing cubicles, fitness centers, and meeting rooms are safe. It works with plasma technology, eliminating up to 99.99 % of all viruses and bacteria from the air and from surfaces, and is very easy to use as a practical "plug & play" product, wherever you are. “A comprehensive concept to protect against viruses and bacteria is currently being developed in consultation with SV Guntamatic Ried,” reports Daniel Steininger, General Manager of the Division Sports & Hygiene at WINTERSTEIGER, who is busy planning how and where to use the air disinfection devices.

Health and safety are top priority

“The health of our players, coaches, and employees is our number one priority,” says SVR CEO Rainer Wöllinger, explaining the decision to use the devices. “We also want the Cubusan to help us set a good example for other football clubs because, as a major club, SV Guntamatic Ried bears a weighty responsibility in times like these. The Cubusan air disinfection device, along with our extremely comprehensive hygiene concept, will help to make this one of the safest football clubs in the Austrian league.”

SVR partners and junior players also set to benefit from partnership

In cooperation with WINTERSTEIGER, SV Guntamatic Ried is temporarily offering its sponsor partners a special limited edition of the Cubusan CP-120 plasma-air disinfection device at a one-time special price. For every one sold, 100 euros will go to the SVR junior team. Many companies and organizations are already benefiting from the fully maintenance-free device. This includes industrial concerns (OMV, Josko), retail stores (Fussl), gyms (Mitterlehner), law firms, doctor's practices (the Degreif practice), driving schools (Easy YO-YO), kindergartens, and elementary schools.

“The idea of this one-time promotion is to give all SVR sponsor partners the opportunity to prepare for the return to the workplace and the coming fall/flu season as best they can. This is a really effective and economical way to significantly reduce the infection risk posed by viral infections in the workplace,” explains Daniel Steininger, touching on his own experiences at WINTERSTEIGER AG.

Cubusan significantly reduces risk of infection

“The Cubusan works on the basis of Sterex technology and uses cold plasma to eliminate up to 99.99 % of all bacteria, fungal spores, and viruses – including SARS-Cov-2. This new development is far superior to the FFP2 face masks, which are effective for just a short period of time, and considerably reduces the infection risk when used as an additional measure,” adds Steininger. One cube, which measures just 19 x 19 x 19ؘ cm, is sufficient for a 50 m² or 120 m³ room, while any number of cubes can be installed in larger rooms. At 32 dB, the cube is also very quiet, consumes less energy than a 25 W light bulb, and is odorless. It combats viruses and bacteria without chemicals, ozone, or UV-C. As a so-called "plug and play" product, it is also fully maintenance-free and has no lights or filters that need to be replaced. “Thanks to its straightforward operation and high degree of efficiency, our new air purification cube will provide a valuable service at SV Guntamatic Ried. We believe the Cubusan will play an important role in keeping players, coaches, staff, and journalists safe,” stresses Steininger.
