Parent-Apprentice Day at WINTERSTEIGER

Like father, like son: Joseph Bernhofer signs his apprenticeship contract together with his parents Doris and Thomas, the latter being an ex-WINTERSTEIGER apprentice himself.

August will see 16 apprentices begin their professional careers at WINTERSTEIGER. During the "Parent-Apprentice Day" on June 21, all 16 newcomers came to Ried along with their parents in order to sign their apprenticeship contracts. As well as signing their contracts, the new apprentices also tried on their work clothing and met their training supervisors, who were able to answer any last questions about working hours, transport options, the technical college, and more besides.

WINTERSTEIGER employs roughly 50 apprentices and is one the region's largest employers with an apprenticeship scheme. The intake of 2018 could choose from 4 courses: electrical engineering, metal engineering technology, internal logistics, and office administration. Regardless of profession, the apprentices will enjoy a high-quality training program over the next few years that will open the door to many future career opportunities.
